Do you have what it takes to be a SOJO*?

The world of journalism as we know it has undergone tremendous changes in the past ten years. Where print, radio and TV were once the undisputed and dominant media, these days most people read blogs, digest the electronic versions of newspapers online – as they are updated frequently between the print cycles, and watch online videos so much that YouTube has created its own stars.

It’s not all fun and entertainment.

We are celebrating the introduction of our 1-year Digital Journalism through organising an exciting, easy and fun competition.

All you need to do is select a category of your choice, upload your work as per the specifications shown on the competition page and wait for the jury's decision!

Categories:

  • News photo
  • Investigative report
  • A profile for a local artist
  • Interview a local band, radio celebrity or writer

One lucky winner in each category will receive JD 500.

Deadline for submissions is 6 May 2010.
